Heat brings wear and tear to an engine, but the catch 22 is that an engine needs to heat up to work. Enter the cooling system. The water pump propels the water into the engine block. Within the engine block and heads, there are channels for coolant to run through as the engine heats up. These passageways lead to a hose at the front of the engine then onto the radiator which is made up of many small tubes. As the coolant runs through these tubes, it is exposed to the cool air coming into the engine compartment from the outside through the grill and its helped by a fan on the other side of the radiator. The coolant is cooled and sent back into the engine via another hose to do it all over again. The radiator cap keeps pressure on the system so that it keeps going and the thermostat opens and closes to control when the system is working to keep the coolant at the right temperature.
This cycle is known as the cooling system. Zero In Racing has everything you need to make your cooling system work with precision, including: radiators, hoses, water pumps, fans, shrouds, radiator caps, thermostats and more!
